Range with the largest screw compressor
The successful process gas compressors series VMY of the Aerzener Maschinenfabrik GmbH show a synthesis of already 30 years of experience and most modern concepts of the compressor technology.
Designed for all current process gases and also refrigerants the Aerzen compressors with oil injection can specially be used in the pharmaceutic, chemical and petrochemical industry, refrigeration technology as well as heating pumps and expander for utilization of combustion heat.
By the alternative application of male rotor or female rotor drive in the lower volume flow range resp. different rotor lengthes in the upper volume flow range, the Aerzen screw compressors cover with total 16 sizes volume flows from 233 m³/h up to 9.937 m³/h. The compressor type VMY 536B is by far the largest oil-injected screw compressor for these application ranges with an overall length of 2.197 mm, a rotor diameter of 345 mm, a weight of approx. 3.200 kgs and a max. volume flow of 9.937 m³/h.
A decisive feature of the VMY-family compared with machines of other manufacturers is the continuous volume flow control enabling a modification of the volume between 100 % and 20 % in manual or automatic form. Further advantages of the Aerzen screw compressors are the optimal operating safety by application of slide bearings in connection with directly flanged oil pumps (sizes VMY 236 up to VMY 536 and VMY 346), a noise reduction by optimally matched housing wall thicknesses and an excellent price-/performance ratio. Moreover the size VMY 536 was optimized for fulfillment of the API-guidelines by application of SAE-flanges and making bearing temperature measurements possible.
